What the school says...
Our motto 'Growing to Excellence' emphasises the journey that our students take every day to develop into young men of character with the qualifications, skills, values and self-confidence to face the significant opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of them in life.
De La Salle College has consistently provided a high-quality education to the students of West Belfast for almost fifty years. A large part of the school's success has been the strong partnership between the school, parents and the local community. It is an inclusive Catholic school that welcomes students of all abilities, those who are academically gifted and those with talents in other areas. Based on the mission of our founder, St. Jean Baptiste de La Salle, and the many De La Salle brothers who have followed so generously in his footsteps, we believe that all students can learn and achieve, regardless of their starting point.
When you become a De La Salle student, you join a community that includes teachers, support staff and mentors who care about you, your academic and personal success, intellectual and spiritual growth and your potential to make a positive difference in the world. Instilled with a strong sense of community and family, students are taught to look beyond themselves and become involved in various charity, fundraising and outreach activities, particularly in our local parishes. ...Read more
