Head Master
Since 2019, the head master is Louise Davidson, something of an educational powerhouse with a CV taking in the corporate world, academic research, teaching, and state school leadership roles. The daughter of a Lincolnshire game farmer, she has a degree in economics and social, economic history from Kingston University. Started out in banking and public relations, then trained to be a teacher at the University of Cambridge. Initially taught maths, science and PE at King’s Canterbury and was the first female head of boarding for the boys’ 7 to 13 dormitory. After a stint researching specific learning difficulties at the University of Edinburgh, she moved to London to be special educational needs co-ordinator and later acting deputy head at Torriano Junior School in Camden.
