Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.
Special Education Needs
The school aims to create successful learning by providing curriculum access, giving equality of opportunity and developing the interests, abilities and aptitudes of all students, whether they have specific learning difficulties or they are Gifted and Talented. The Inclusion & SEN team consists of a well-established group of teachers, teaching assistants and Learning Mentors. Methods of support include, in-class support, withdrawal, group activities at lunchtimes and one-to-one pastoral care. The school has introduced 2 teaching groups dedicated to vulnerable students in years 7 & 8. These groups are taught for the majority of their lessons in a home room by the same teacher and receive a high level of TA support and additional help with literacy, numeracy and social skills. Enrichment activities are available for Gifted and Talented students. We have a wide range of alternative curriculum opportunities for KS4 students who wish to enhance their skills in a vocational capacity. The SENCO is a specialist on Autistic Spectrum Disorders & many parents choose the school because of the provision offered to children on the spectrum.
