This is a fictitious school based on the BBC Radio 4 soap, The Archers.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.

Other features

Choir school - substantial scholarships and bursaries usually available for choristers.

What The Good Schools Guide says

Head

Since 1965, Mr Nick Clappy BA Social Sciences, (sixties) With pony tail, plaited beard and beads, Mr Clappy is hardly your typical head. ‘Hey! Just call me Nick,’ he grins. Briefly a Baptist minister in his teens, thence to Rome where he spent some months as a novitiate, he decamped to the Himalayas where he studied with the Maharishi (that one). Inspired by someone he met in Goa, he became a Tibetan monk, then followed Hare Krishna until he fell under the spell of the Rev Sun Myung Moon after, that is, a period with the Manson family. ‘I’ve been around,’ he admits cheerfully, seeing this as ideal preparation for heading a prominent Anglican school in the heart of England. He lives onsite with his partner, Beeswing, and their nine children.
