What the school says...

Fosse Bank is a caring, successful, small school where all pupils are treated as individuals inspired with confidence to reach their full potential. In a stimulating learning environment where academic achievement is very high, pupils are encouraged to be true to themselves, and to show honesty, respect and trust within a family community. Our results are excellent with a 90% pass rate for the Kent 11+ as well as scholarships to schools such as Sevenoaks and Walthamstow Hall. Our thriving Pre-school nurtures and develops our three to five year olds and ensures a smooth transition into Reception. We also offer childcare both at the beginning and the end the school day from 8.00am to 6.00pm. ...Read more

What the parents say...

My husband and I chose Fosse Bank because, we felt if we could have chosen our school, this is where we would have wanted to go. It is simply an idyllic setting which should set up any child with lovely memories. The environment feels very safe and extremely caring. We were shown round by year 6 pupils who were confident, polite and extremely articulate - what more could any parent want? The results achieved for secondary school places are excellent and our children come home happy and tired from days packed with interesting activities and lessons. The lessons are taught in projects which particularly appealed to me as through a project e.g. water you cover the life cycle and weather, history of towns on rivers, wildlife associated with rivers etc. For myself I felt labelling a subject 'history' etc for a 7 year old may be off putting. As working parents there is a lot of flexibility with after school clubs (no extra charge), breakfast club and late care until 6pm. They also allow you to park and walk to Hildenborough station. Saving £6.50 a day and getting a walk in has to be a double bonus! Fosse Bank is a hidden gem and to be totally recommended.

We think Fosse Bank is a lovely school and believe that its high academic expectations combined with excellent pastoral care provide a strong foundation for our two children. Fosse continues to help all its pupils fulfill their potential and secure places at selective secondary schools in both the state and independent sectors in a highly competitive part of Kent. The school is friendly and inclusive. My children are very happy there.

This wonderfully nurturing school continually produces excellent academic results right through the years. The Pre-School is an integral part of the school which is especially important for that early transition into Reception, and the fabulous House system means that children right through the school get to mix with all ages. This school is highly recommended for any parent that wants to see their child succeed in both academic achievements and personal growth.

I moved my two children here two terms ago after one of them was bullied badly at another local private school and his self confidence destroyed. What a difference Fosse has made! They both settled in immediately and made lots of friends. They are flourishing socially and academically and skip down the path every day eager to learn. I could not be happier with this school. There is a wonderful kind nurturing feel to the school which really seems to encourage children too the very best they can. A wonderful school, I really recommend it.

We are delighted with this school. We moved from a large private school in London and have been really pleased with our choice of schools. Since the classes are small, each child is catered for individually and this means that every child is able to excel. The grounds are beautiful and the facilities are impressive (especially considering it is a small school). The pastoral care is of a very high standard. There is a good range of after school clubs that the children all love to attend (as well as the teacher led after school club in the evenings). Every teacher knows every child and both our children have come on tremendously after just two terms there. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking at schools in the area.

This is a great school! The school buildings and grounds are beautiful. The smaller classes mean the teaching is more personalized and effective, with great results. We have two children here and really recommend it.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
