What The Good Schools Guide says..
Well above average: no particular bias, but with around 50 per cent of all pupils leaving after National grades (most go to Dundee College) it is a little difficult to give an accurate picture. Smashing results for those who do stay on to sixth form – way above national average. Mass of instrumentalists, music strong and popular with ceilidhs and rock concerts (including FPs) – huge charitable input, 'everything and anything'. Choirs, bands, orchestras. Founded in 1885 and 'the oldest public school in Dundee', moved to the handsome granite building in 1931, school then added on a hotchpotch of flat-roofed excrescences in the '60s. Complete £32m rebuild on same site finished in 2016...

Special Education Needs
Harris Academy has a Support for Learning department to help all pupils fulfill their potential. In addition there is a Resourced Location which caters for pupils with autistic spectrum disorder. There are pupils in each year group S1 to S6. The provision has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the young people. In the six years it has been open, the school has managed to rise to the challenge of inclusion for all the young people, and has benefited greatly as a result.
