What the school says...

The school has a nursery in a secure walled garden near Marble Arch where there is a huge sand pit, pond, vegetable growing area, and a fire pit where outdoor cooking takes place. The education is innovative, exciting and aims to draw out the genius in every child. Despite being non-selective, the pupils gain places at some of the top schools in the country; academic standards are high. For parents looking for an all-through education, we are linked with the newly opened Eaton Square Upper School in Mayfair, Piccadilly. ...Read more

What the parents say...

I could not be happier with Hyde Park School for my two children, ages 5 & 7. They offer small class sizes and lots of individual attention. Each child is accommodated for and pushed as appropriate. The school community is very diverse, lots of expats, but extremely welcoming and supportive. The parents are really involved.

My son studied in Hyde Park School from Y5, he likes the school very much. The head is very inspiring and respect to the children. The teachers are very warmly kind to every pupil. there is a great sports field in Hyde Park for children's PE and football training. there are many funny after-school club in the school. and every week we will receive a weekly report from the school to know what happened in the school. the students come from all over the world and the teachers are most British. we have confidence that the school will be from best to best with the head's leading.

For nursery and reception the location is just super. A private quiet garden where learning can be inside in the classrooms or outside in a privately school-owned garden. The teaching is consistent with very small class sizes to address all levels of academic success. Pupils are given exposure to reach their potential at all times. The school is still growing and it might still have a higher turnover of children than established schools, but the schools the pupils go to show how fantastic the teaching standard is. The head is very inspiring and the respect the children and parents show her at all levels gives confidence that this school is on its way to be a fixture in the London circuit.

We have been part of the Hyde Park School (previously know as Ravenstone) for almost 8 years already... We have at the moments one child at The Long Garden, and 2 at the Queens Gate site. We have witnessed all the changes the school has been through, and we could not be happier with the education our kids have received, and are receiving now. HPS is a wonderful environment for the kids to grow, learn and to thrive. As it's a small school with in general small classes of around 12 kids with 2 teachers, the teaching is very individualised which is a major bonus if you have very talented kids or/and kids who need more support. The atmosphere is very kind, positive and welcoming so the kids feel confident and happy. The kids come from all around the world and this mix of cultures is a great opportunity for the kids to learn about each other and to be open-minded. All this is made possible by a wonderful team of teachers, and a very dynamic headmistress who always has brilliant ideas to encourage the kids to learn. And the food is good say my kids!

Hyde park school is a hidden jewel in central London with 2 wonderful locations offering excellent co-ed education from nursery to year 6. My daughter started year 2 with the school and she is flourishing in such a small and individualised learning environment. We are happy to see her growth in a happy and confident way.

My son has been attending the Hyde Park school for two years. It is a wonderful school. I was originally drawn to it for its huge playgound with its sandpit, climbing frames and growing allotment (as I think play is so important for child development) and since my son attending the school I been impressed with all the teachers and staff who have helped to shape my son into a confident well rounded little boy. There is a lovely family feel at the school and I will be sending my daughter there in a few years!
