The school provides a ‘modern Jewish orthodox’ education and, as well as a class teacher and teaching assistant, each year group has a designated rabbi to help develop understanding of Jewish customs and practice, as well as an appreciation of biblical and rabbinical texts and love of Israel.

What the school says...

The Immanuel College Preparatory School opened in September 2011 to pupils in Reception. The School will grow annually until it comprises all years from Reception to Year 6. It currently has classes from Reception to Year 3 and is opening a Year 6 class in September 2015.

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Educated at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls, South Hampstead High School and Homerton College, Cambridge, where she read education and religious studies. Worked in state primaries in Manchester, before spending three years in Israel. Took some time out when her four children (now aged 14 to 21) were young, before returning to Noam Primary in Wembley, where she went from ‘very part-time’ to ‘very full-time’ as deputy head.
