Students generally present challenging behavioural difficulties due to a variety of home and school, medical and social issues. The Catch22 Include schools work to a high ratio of staff to students giving more opportunity for one to one working and individual care to remove barriers to learning. Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Special Education Needs

Many of the pupils that are referred to us present behaviours owing to their special educational needs. The majority may have been permanently excluded prior to their referral to our school. Our mission is for each child to be assessed based upon their need and for our school to ensure that the child receives the support and resourcing necessary for a complete and successful return to either a mainstream education placement or specialist school (dependent on need and availability).
