What the school says...
King George V Sixth Form College in Southport is a specialist provider of Level 3 education for students aged 16-19. We offer over 40 courses to choose from including an extensive range of A Levels and a selection of BTEC Extended Diplomas.
KGV has a history of academic excellence, having been a pillar of the Southport community since 1929. In Summer 2014, our students achieved an outstanding A Level pass rate of 99.3% and a pass rate of 100% for all BTEC Extended Diplomas. Almost 55% of students achieved high grades (A*-B) making KGV one of the top performing Colleges in the country!
Course programmes are complemented by a magnitude of enrichment opportunities including various sports teams, certificated courses, music groups and even the chance to embark on a world-wide expedition! The College also prides itself on the pastoral support we offer, whether that be careers guidance, learning support or tailored advice from the students personal Progress Coach.
