What the school says...

Leehurst Swan School is a thriving independent day school offering boys and girls aged 4 to 16 a friendly, caring environment where individual strengths, talents and interests are identified, nurtured and given a voice.

The school justifiably achieved top marks and achieved the grade of ‘Excellent’ in every aspect of Educational quality in their latest Inspection. We are the only independent day school in Salisbury offering education for girls and boys from Reception through to 16.

We have been educating children for over 100 years and our academic record is consistently strong; we are proud of our very high pass mark at 11+ and excellent results at GCSE. Our bespoke GCSE option pathways, where students take three core subjects and choose any seven optional subjects, not limited by blocking, allows students to tailor their education to their individual strengths and interests, increasing their chances of success.

We are proud to be a school small enough to give individual attention but large enough to ensure that all our pupils have exciting opportunities, a broad curriculum, competitive sporting opportunities and a comprehensive extra-curricular programme which prepares them for their future beyond school.

We love that every child is different. It’s our privilege to help each child to find their voice and shine.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
