What the school says...
We have been inspiring and educating pupils for over 100 years. Formerly known as La Retraite Swan we are a vibrant community, with excellent academic results, where fun and laughter are an essential part of the school day. In September 2015, we welcomed the very youngest children into The Nest. Recently opened due to parental demand ‘The Nest’ provides quality care for babies and toddlers from six weeks old. Leehurst Swan already has an enviable reputation for Outstanding quality Early Years Education, having been graded ‘Outstanding’ in every category and quality assurance continually awarded since 2007. We are the only independent day school in Salisbury offering education for girls and boys through to 16 offering a broad and balanced education within a family atmosphere.
We celebrate the best of the old while embracing the latest innovations and technology.
We have recently invested in a substantial building project to provide a new Prep school. 'The Centenary Building’ provides 12 new state of the art teaching classrooms and reflects the thriving and highly successful development of the school in recent years. ...Read more

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Special Education Needs
Leehurst Swan is proud to be re-awarded CResTeD membership from the Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils following an inspection earlier this term. The inspector interviewed children and parents, observed classes and met with all members of the learning support department. Leehurst Swan is the only Salisbury school that meets the required standard in helping dyslexic pupils achieve within a mainstream, academic setting. The Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils recognises the excellent support provided by specialist teachers in the Learning Support Department, and the integration of child-friendly learning methods throughout the curriculum.
