What the school says...

We have been inspiring and educating pupils for over 100 years. Formerly known as La Retraite Swan we are a vibrant community, with excellent academic results, where fun and laughter are an essential part of the school day. In September 2015, we welcomed the very youngest children into The Nest. Recently opened due to parental demand ‘The Nest’ provides quality care for babies and toddlers from six weeks old. Leehurst Swan already has an enviable reputation for Outstanding quality Early Years Education, having been graded ‘Outstanding’ in every category and quality assurance continually awarded since 2007. We are the only independent day school in Salisbury offering education for girls and boys through to 16 offering a broad and balanced education within a family atmosphere.

We celebrate the best of the old while embracing the latest innovations and technology.

We have recently invested in a substantial building project to provide a new Prep school. 'The Centenary Building’ provides 12 new state of the art teaching classrooms and reflects the thriving and highly successful development of the school in recent years.

What the parents say...

Our family has had an excellent experience at Leehurst Swan. It is a well run school with positive leadership, happy students and lots of fun and interesting extra-curricular activites. Both my daughter (KS2) and son (KS1) have been academically challenged. The school climate is welcoming, safe and positive. I don't hesitate in recommending this school to anyone.

I have two children at Leehurst Swan. This is a very happy school where the staff know the children so well. Great results are encouraged but the school offers alot more than that. My children are confident, well mannered, included and well supported at the school. We love it and would certainly recommend it. Not sure why the Good School Guide have not paid them a visit but they should!

Our boys (7 & 10) have now been at Leehurst Swan for 3 years, and we are very happy with the school, their education, and the friends they have made. The teachers work well with us, and the children enjoy a wide variety of after-school activities. The 10 year old has just been accepted into senior school, and is extremely happy to be staying there - the school is supporting him very well, and he has no desire to move elsewhere.

Within the last year we have moved both our children (one girl and one boy) to Leehurst, one into Senior and one into Prep. They have settled really well and are thriving. The school has really supported the children and they have both grown in confidence enormously since starting. The school has a great mix of academics, art, sport and music with all the children getting equal opportunities. We are so pleased we moved to Leehurst and it's great to have the chance to share our thoughts about the school.

We have three children at Leehurst Swan, aged 5, 10 & 12, all with totally different abilities. Over the past years we have found the school to be absolutely wonderful, we actually have two boys and a girl that want to go to school. School is a very important part of a childs journey and we feel that we are giving ours children a head start by educating them in such good school. Leehurst Swan supports our children and encourages them to succeed. It feels good to be able to voice our support for the school.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
