What the school says...
We are a small independent primary school set in a historic and central part of London, with St Paul’s, Southwark Cathedral, the Shard, the Globe, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast and the Tower of London on our doorstep.
The school was established in 2007, with four pupils, and now sits at 120. We have recently purchased the adjoining premises and aim to develop exciting and creative learning spaces over the next few years, though class sizes will remain small.
We are non-selective at entry but have an excellent record at 11+ with the vast majority of our pupils going on to top independent London day schools, a number with academic, music and/or dramatic arts scholarships. Our children are cheerful and confident communicators. They show a mature level of self-understanding and have a strong sense of right and wrong.
London Christian School is accredited for using technology well and we have rich cross curricular provision with many opportunities for service and leadership. We are a vibrant and friendly school community, with many of our families living locally.
The school’s Christian underpinning – and its aims and ethos – permeate all aspects of school life. Our curriculum combines a rigorous academic focus with an engaging, creative approach. We adapt units of work to pupils’ interests and abilities, ensuring that they make great progress.
We hope that you will enjoy finding out about our school. Please contact us to arrange a private tour. We look forward to meeting you. ...Read more

Special Education Needs
Our aim is to enable all students to progress and to access the learning in all lessons (closing the gap between their current attainment and that of their peers). We seek to offer a range of interventions which address both academic and wider concerns. We also work to ensure that the more able are appropriately stretched and challenged. The SENDCo works with children, teachers, parents and external specialists to identify areas of need and provide support which is specific to each individual whether or not they have an identified need. Support may be provided on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. In school support is provided free of charge, but external support is usually paid for by parents. Staff regularly receive training on a range of topics such as dyslexia, autism and speech and language difficulties. We have experience of the EHCP process. We encourage children in their strengths as well as supporting them in their challenges.
