What the school says...
Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill is an independent, co-ed, non-selective, bilingual day school serving 850 students from ages 3 to 18 that aims to develop every child into a principled and forward-thinking world citizen.
Students benefit from a unique bilingual immersion programme starting in Pre-Reception, as well as the choice of two tracks in Secondary school: a French bilingual program accredited by the Ministry of Education, leading to the brevet and baccalauréat, or an English-speaking track leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Students who only speak English can join Lycée Churchill in Early Years or Secondary.
With this unique approach, young minds are exposed to both French and English (native speakers) throughout the school day, adopting the requisite flexibility to effortlessly switch between both languages, thus developing transversal learning abilities as well as a heightened sensitivity to interculturalism.
Located on a leafy five-acre campus in north London, the school is rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted for sixth form and personal growth and welfare. It boasts impressive 100% pass rates on all exams and 100% university matriculation. Graduates receive offers from the world’s most prestigious schools, including universities in the UK’s Russell Group (Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL, King’s College, etc.), the US Ivy League, Canada, the Netherlands, and French Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles.
Their proven, yet innovative teaching methods are all carefully studied for shaping future well-rounded, open-minded, culturally aware young adults, and offer a joyful, supportive and challenging learning environment in which students can thrive from the youngest age.
