Special Education Needs
The Good Schools Guide writes: Mountjoy is a community special school catering for pupils with severe, complex, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders. Pupils follow the national curriculum, adapted as necessary to meet individual pupil needs. The school has a range of specialist facilities including a sensory room and hydrotherapy pool. All pupils have a statement of special educational needs. Plans are afoot for a much desired new build in 2009.
