What the school says...
Mounts Bay Academy has over 900 students on its roll and was recognised as outstanding in all areas in its 2012 OFSTED inspection.
We believe that all young people are Grade A students; it is our job to nurture the very best in each person by removing barriers to learning and identifying every childs strengths and talents. We are a learning community that aspires to success for all without exception and every student is given an iPad to empower learning anywhere, anytime. In summer 2012, 97.1% of students achieved 5A* to C grades at GCSE, with 60% achieving 5A* to C including Maths and English.
We develop young people with a positive attitude to learning and life, ready to take on the challenges of our fast-changing world and to make a creative contribution to their community.
By working with the local community and our feeder schools, every child who joins us at Mounts Bay gains access to a unique world of opportunity and experience. There are 134 formal extra curricular activities on offer each week. Talent is celebrated, curiosity is nurtured and every individual is given the chance to shine. ...Read more
