Has to be one of the most challenging and inclusive schools in the United Kingdom. Smart looking façade conceals a mass of serious re-build but the old school is still there. War memorials and jolly photographs. The school now operates three specialist schools within the campus: School of Rugby, School of Traditional Music and School of Dance. School of Dance, in conjunction with Taynult based Balletwest (who also use the hall for their outreach classes), is amazing - we could have been watching…

Since 2008, Mr Peter Bain MA MSc PGCE, who was educated at Musselburgh Grammar and read history at Edinburgh University, where he did his masters in the science of historical research, followed by PGCE at Jordanhill plus courses on headship and leadership. Started life in the civil service, which gives him the strategies to deal with the vagaries of Argyll and Bute Council education service. Six schools under his belt, from the depths of Fife to quite grand Trinity in Edinburgh: he comes from Eyemouth High School, Berwickshire, where he was depute head, and runs Oban High with four deputes.
