What the school says...

Odyssey House School is a small, independent school that educates children between the ages of 7 and 16 who experience trauma informed school avoidance and aversion.

With class sizes not exceeding six children, we teach a full and balanced curriculum from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 4 where children are prepared for GCSE, Vocational and Entry Level qualifications as appropriate.

Based in leafy Highgate in North London, our non-imposing and unassuming building is home to a talented team of highly qualified and experienced teachers and para-professionals.

In 2021, we extending our provision through the opening of other learning sites and plan to extend our provision to include Key Stage 1 and Sixth Form.

We also offer a full professional assessment, transition and IN @ School (education in the home) - please contact the Headteacher for more details.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Special Education Needs

A full statement of intent and implementation in relation to how the school supports children with additional learning needs and special educational needs is available from the Headteacher. Odyssey House School is a school first and foremost. It strives to remove labels and has an indomitable focus on the individual child to be the best that they can be. Almost all of our children have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but we look beyond the document. Each person at Odyssey House School is unique and talented in their own right. Our focus is to unleash individual potential and to prepare them for the life ahead of them. Our motto is simple: The journey is everything.
