Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Special Education Needs

A full statement of intent and implementation in relation to how the school supports children with additional learning needs and special educational needs is available from the Headteacher. Odyssey House School provides a small, nurturing and safe learning environment for pupils. It strives to remove labels and has an indomitable focus on the individual child to support them in achieving their personal best. The school offers the full national curriculum delivered by qualified teachers who also have specialist SEN training. the academic team is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and the school offers SALT, OT, art, music & play therapies as well as social skills groups, lego therapy and other specialist interventions. Almost all of our children have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but we look beyond the document. Each pupil at Odyssey House School is unique and talented in their own right. Our focus is to unleash individual potential and to prepare them for the life ahead of them. Our aim is to change a child’s experience of education through connection, nurture, to help them learn, grow and achieve transformative life outcomes.
