What The Good Schools Guide says..
All games (apart from polo) played on site; football, rugby and cricket are tackled with gusto and everybody gets a game. Most unusual and tremendously popular is Herpetology or Snake Club; this is the first time a Good Schools Guide reviewer has conducted interviews with a bearded lizard on her shoulder. As with many of the activities, including a game of football we saw, Snake Club is for all ages – boys buy their reptiles, now all bred in...
What the school says...
We provide an outstanding academic education in an atmosphere where 'boys can still be boys' and individuality is celebrated. We offer the broadest possible range of extra curricular activities including polo, snake club and rocket making, and continue to maintain our highly successful academic record, gaining no less than 18 awards in the last 2 years, together with art, sport and music scholarships.

Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.
What The Good Schools Guide says
Since 2004, Mr Tom Bunbury BA PGCE, (40s). Educated at nearby Woodcote Prep and then Millfield, read law at Durham but turned his back on the legal profession to return first to Woodcote, then Homerton College Cambridge for a PGCE followed by Papplewick, where he has remained since 1993. He was head of maths, a housemaster and then deputy before taking over as head. It was, he says, a chance to lead a great team and make it stronger. He is modest and quietly confident, with a charming absence of ego. Parents appreciate the fact that he has guarded the traditions of Papplewick while moving with the times on issues such as demand for flexi-boarding.
He lives on site with his wife, Sallie, and four children. Sallie oversees the matrons...
