What the parents say...

We are so glad we chose Phoenix. The truly caring atmosphere and dedication of the staff really encourages and enables each and every child to flourish and succeed. The pupils are justifiably proud of their school!

The Phoenix is a great little school where both my children thrive. They have completely different personalities and approach to life, yet the school manages to bring the best our of both of them, giving confidence to the shy one and moderating the excitable one. Thank you Phoenix.

This is a small school with amazing pupil:teacher ratios that allows them to focus on individual and personal teaching unconstrained by the state school curricula. What's more, they take children throughout the year from 3 and so we've had the joy this year of 2 children in the same place - with the ability to use the early years funding and childcare vouchers. Both children have developed in leaps and bounds within weeks of starting at the school - my 3.5 year old is reading and my other child talks excitedly about what he has learnt and has developed a joy for reading, both of which are a real change from the state school we used for Reception year. The environment is warm and caring, and the small size means that the older children care for the younger ones, and all ages play together. Whilst not having the expensive facilities of the large Cambridge schools, the school does have the ability to nurture and develop confident, rounded children. This combined with the ability to progress academically unconstrained by school year are far more important to us than at this age. If you hadn't considered a private school, and want to avoid the Cambridge commute, this may be a school worth considering.
