What The Good Schools Guide says

Since June 2020, Mark Pipe (BA QTS MaST). Trained in primary education at King Alfred’s College, Winchester. Taught in Hampshire, Hertfordshire then Harrow, becoming associate head at Elmgrove, a large primary. Worked with Harrow School Improvement Service, supporting maths across the borough. Joined Radlett as vice principal in 2015. First time outside the maintained sector: ‘I had never set foot in an independent school before I came for my tour here,’ he says. Won over by ‘diversity of activities’, ‘down to earth children’ and ‘family feel’. A local – grew up in Luton. Originally a PE specialist (retains that distinctive superhero-in-a-suit look) yet very comfortable in his spacious office, pinboard heaving with colourful artwork and messages from students. A cheerful request for ‘my regular, please’ when asked about tea or coffee.
