What the school says...

Entrance examinations consist of: 4+ - Half day spent in class setting to assess adaptability. 7+ - A whole day spent in class setting. 11 - Maths, English & Science. School reports also required.

What the parents say...

We placed three children at Raphael Independent at the start of the recent school year in junior and senior forms...I have been very pleased with the service provided by this school. The instruction has been dedicated, with reasonable student expectations and assistance in helping children achieve a higher standard rather than falling to a common denominator. Most impressive is the overall culture of kindness among the students towards each other - a valuable trait that sometimes is not so apparent in other schools. I have been very happy with this school.

Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
