What The Good Schools Guide says

Headteacher

Since 2021, Ms Deb Jackson

Entrance

Children come from all over England. The process starts with a referral document which looks at risks, past history, why the child needs to move and behaviour, for example if the child is a fire starter. There will be a diagnosis, assessment and a chance for the child and family or social worker to visit and see if The Roaches will be a good fit for the child. The bottom line is: 'Can we work with this child?' The whole process can be completed within a few days, although they like longer, but sometimes the child is about to be taken from the family and so there will be an urgent need for care and education.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
