What The Good Schools Guide says..
Vegetable plots, a wild flower meadow and glimpses of the Mendips make an idyllic environment in which to learn, which is echoed in the lack of academic pressure to which some children even at this tender age are subjected at other schools. What the school says...
At our Junior School (an independent prep school) we aim to spark children's imaginations and encourage curiosity. With this progressive approach we start building the skills they will require to get the most out of their education. This crucial early stage is about building self-confidence, developing creative thought and inspiring an enjoyment of discovery, these important characteristics nurture a love of learning for the future.
We achieve these aims through offering an exciting and happy learning environment supported by a curriculum that makes the most of our fantastic facilities and natural surroundings at every opportunity. Small classes enable our staff to get to know the children very well, adapt lessons and learning goals to meet individual needs and stretch the children's abilities to cultivate talents. A stunning, environmentally friendly building that is full of light and space coupled with specially designed outdoor play areas and 150 acres of land and woods to explore provides the perfect setting for an inspirational all round education. ...Read more
Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

She worked at Sidcot as a year 5 teacher and after a foray down a different career path realised that teaching was what she truly wanted to do: ‘I felt as though I had come home when I came back to Sidcot in 2009,’ she says. A rapid ascent through the hierarchy culminated, after a proper selection process, in her appointment to the headship in 2012.
Tall and blonde, with an infectious laugh – ‘you can always hear Ms Lilley,’ said one boy – she is described by pupils as friendly, cheery and ‘really in control but does not have to shout to get her point across.’...
