What the school says...

The school was opened in April 1969. It is a modern building occupying a large corner site in Moyard Gardens, Greenisland. Accomodation comprises 7 classrooms, a newly developed nursery unit, a fully equipped PE hall, which is also used as the Assembly Hall and Dining Room, a recently refurbished library/computer room, staff room, stores and offices. A school meals kitchen, which has been awarded membership of the Healthy Eating Circle, operates on the premises.
At Silverstream we aim to offer your child a wide range of activities in order to provide a full and balanced education. We believe in hard work and good scholarship in class, with pupils being encouraged to reach the highest standards within their capacity.
As we are a small school your child will have the advantage of being in a small class where the pupil teacher ratio averages 1 to 23.
You are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school and experience the positive atmosphere in which we work. Pupils and the staff will be very happy to talk about our school and you will see first hand our commitment to creating a creative, safe and happy environment in which your child can reach his/her full potential.
