What the school says...
INSPIRE | CHALLENGE | ACHIEVE
SHS aims to nurture a love of learning in all pupils, providing a tailored education that inspires each child – identifying unique strengths, challenging their individual abilities, and offering each of them engaging opportunities to learn, grow and achieve.
Founded in Fulham in 1989, Sinclair House School encompasses two Nursery premises on Munster Road and a Preparatory School on Fulham High Street which takes pupils from Reception up to Year 6.
The Prep School has a broad and engaging curriculum, with specialist Teachers in Art and Design Technology, Music and Drama, to ensure there are numerous opportunities for pupils to develop their creativity within and beyond the classroom. There are numerous opportunities across the school year for children to showcase talents in a variety of concerts, performances, exhibitions and various Performing Arts competitions. Pupils are invited to an after school LAMDA enrichment Club and additional Music Clubs
Specialist teaching in PE and Games is offered from Nursery upwards, and pupils participate in House Competitions, Sports events and various inter-school fixtures and competitions.
Children’s personal development is a priority and very much embedded within school life, encouraging pupils to become self-assured, independent and resilient. The School’s unique PSHEE scheme is focused on building emotional intelligence and mindfulness amongst pupils, in tandem with their academic journey.
A high teacher-to-pupil ratio ensures all children receive personal attention and are appropriately supported and challenged. Children are taught in bright, airy classrooms and enjoy extensive facilities, including individual music tuition Rooms, an Art Studio, a Science Lab, and a Computing suite. Pupils also have access to a sheltered rooftop gardening area where they cultivate fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers and kitchen units for Food Technology.
Regular school trips and workshops make full use of the rich variety of educational resources around London and the school diary features regular visits and talks from inspirational figures. We offer an exciting programme of co-curricular activities, including a weekly Outdoor Classroom for Pre-Prep children.
Children leave to take up places at a wide range of excellent schools, many of which are highly competitive, including: The Emanuel School,
