What the school says...

A wealth of opportunity exists for students at St Edward’s. We teach that there is no ceiling to potential, focussing on the individual needs of each and every student, valuing their unique gifts and talents.

Located in the heart of Cheltenham, with a range of creative and sporting facilities to enrich the academic provision, the School offers a strong and vibrant school community, based on Christian values, in which all children can thrive.

There are high expectations of all members of the school community. Excellent teaching and pastoral care in a nurturing and encouraging environment allows students to flourish. Small class sizes mean that teachers really know students as individuals, providing tailored support to maximise achievement.

All students are encouraged to become fully involved in an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs, sporting and cultural activities. It is important to us that students are challenged to step outside of their ‘comfort zone’ and realise that they can achieve beyond their perceived potential.

Most importantly, our aim is to provide an education that will last a lifetime and enable our students to develop into happy, confident, resilient, compassionate and aspirational individuals who are ready to become positive and life-long contributors to society.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
