What the school says...

St George's Ascot is a thriving independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18. Pupils come from near and far to the school which was recently awarded the highest grade of 'excellent in all areas' in the Independent Schools Inspectorate's integrated report.

St George's is a place where girls flourish academically, creatively, physically and morally. There is no such thing as a typical St George's girl as each pupil arrives with her own sets of talents and interests. The community is bound by its shared values and vision. Every Georgian is enabled to develop a genuine sense of who she is, and staff support all pupils to achieve the futures of their choosing.

The school is set in 30 acres of beautiful grounds with magnificent views, is just a stones throw from the world famous Ascot racecourse and Windsor Great Park, less than 25 miles from London and 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport.

With two predecessors having used this headship as a springboard to bigger schools, Mrs Hewer stresses her longer-term commitment: ‘That trust in me is important – every girl in the school has now had me...

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Special Education Needs

Whilst St George's is not a specialist school for SEND provision, girls who join us with a SEN need do exceptionally well, because of the support and focus on their learning, and the excellent team which are in place to support them. The same is true of EAL where our expert team work with pupils whose first language is not English, as they go through the school, up to and including preparation for university, enabling them to attain the requisite IELTS points.
