What the school says...
St. Helen's College is an independent school with a real family ethos. The proprietors (a husband and wife team) have run the school for 30 years. At St. Helen's College, we aim to inspire children with stimulating, creative and challenging teaching, to instil a love of learning and to nurture key aptitudes such as the ability to think critically and creatively, to solve problems, to work both independently and collaboratively, to be self motivated and to persevere.
It is our mission to help the children discover and develop their own excellence. We offer a huge range of clubs, teams, trips and enrichment activities, and place great emphasis on activities which bring out the best in children. We nurture goodness, courtesy, compassion and consideration for others. We strive to instil courage, loyalty, integrity and truthfulness, and we encourage children always to think, speak and act considerately and responsibly. The school's most recent ISI Educational Quality Inspection judged the school as excellent or outstanding in all areas of inspection. The most recent ISI Compliance Inspection confirmed that the school is fully compliant in all areas. ...Read more

Although Scotland is her ‘true home’, real home is now Hertfordshire, where she goes to the gym four or five times a week, particularly enjoying Pilates and yoga. ‘I do play golf but not enough.’ Also an ISI team inspector.
We met her in her cosy office, overlooking school playground and packed with children’s...
