What The Good Schools Guide says
CEO
Since 2017, Simon Charleton. Spoke on the phone as he was recovering (at record speed seemingly) from a hip operation. (‘Get bored quickly so couldn’t sit around’.) Currently not desperately well known but given the excellence of staff communications with parents, felt not to matter. Reportedly friendly, doing a good job and promoting openness. ‘A lovely man, very caring.’ Runs all the way through senior management team, says parent. ‘The caring ethos is top to bottom - it’s a great place for young people to be.’
Originally wanted to be a professional footballer, realisation that wasn’t going to happen ‘part of growing up – so had to take things more seriously.’ (He’s a long-term Brighton and Hove Albion season ticket holder).
