What the parents say...

I feel compelled to comment on how impressed I am and how happy I am with choosing St Julies as the school for our daughter. I agonised, as we all do, about which school to choose and then went with my gut feeling. On the Open Evening, I found everyone very friendly and approachable and the enthusiasm from teaching staff and the girls themselves, positively infectious. The evening was such great fun and I just wanted my daughter to be part of it! I particularly "picked up" a feeling of creativity with regard to the Arts and saw evidence of this in bucketfuls in the work displayed, in the dance being performed and the way in which the girls spoke spontaneously and freely to parents in the presence of the teachers. No hiding ones light under a bushel here! If your child is keen on sport, the record of achievement is unsurpassable and this is on the face of it, a very ordinary, inner-city comprehensive school, however, for some reason appearing to attract very high achievers on the sporting field - not least to do with particular members of staff, who are very dedicated. In fact, I believe that at St Julies generally, once a child has been identified as having a particular talent, the staff "won't let this go!", and will work very hard to ensure that they build on that talent and use it for the good of the school. When my daughter first started, I had some misapprehensions about her being thrown in with a big pile of other kids, who she didn't know and which she might find a bit daunting. However, the classes are relatively small and the girls are encouraged to be supportive of one another - each year being two tiered and split into two bands of 90. Each band is then divided into three classes and then for many activities, each class is then divided up into smaller sub sections for, e.g. cookery, DT and streaming takes place quite early for Maths, Science and English, so they get to mix with a range of relatively small groups of friends. Socially, there is so much going on, that I sometimes feel she may as well stay overnight! The area in Woolton, where the school is located is really pretty and I always feel safe about her getting the bus from outside school and arriving in the morning. All of Camp Hill is at their disposal for cross country and there is a kindness and warmth from all staff I have encountered. I would not hesitate to send your child here. My child would easily have been capable to getting into a higher academic acheiving school, but there really has been no need, as she is doing absolutely brilliantly here. From all reports, the school has improved in recent years with the arrival of the new Head and is continuing to improve year on year. Without wanting to appear too "unctious" and over the top, I believe St Julies to be one of the very best schools in the North West across the board in various areas. It is by no means to be regarded as "mediocre" or a second or third choice of school. Far from it!

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
