Special Education Needs
St Philip's School caters for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties. There is also provision for children with ASD. Provision is made in small classes with support assistants and a speech and language therapist. Support from other professionals is provided where necessary. The Admission Authority for St Philip's School is Kingston Local Authority (LA). No child can be offered a place without the agreement of the LA. The majority of children offered a place have a statement of Special Educational Needs. On rare occasions a child is admitted without a Statement i.e. a child coming from overseas, from private educational provision or if a statement is pending.
