The school provides high quality education for day and boarding pupils from the age of 11 to 18. Sixth form students are taught in mixed groups with the girls from Stamford High School. All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since September 2016, Nick Gallop, previously assistant head and head of sixth form at Portsmouth Grammar. Politics degree from Durham; he has also been head of department at Loughborough Grammar, and at Wellington College, where he was later a boarding housemaster. He has coached first XV rugby; married with two young children.

Principal of all three schools since September 2016 is Will Phelan (40s), previously head of school. Read medieval and modern history at Royal Holloway, followed by PGCE at Reading and MBA in education management. Formerly deputy head at Warwick, head of sixth form and director of rugby at Abingdon School, and head of year at Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe. Considered a career as a professional rugby player until injury forced a different direction.
