Previously headmaster of Hereford Cathedral Junior School, before that director of studies at Bilton Grange, he worked for several years as an educational consultant specialising in strategic school improvement. It seemed to us this latter consultancy experience is key, because two years into the post, he has introduced widespread changes: a new discipline regime, an expanded learning support department, a new maths course. It goes on.
