What says..

From the moment you step through the door into the entrance hall flooded with light - a collaborative space where a community of animated children gather in throngs of chat – there is an overwhelming sense of vibrancy, warmth and happiness. What the school says...

We expect a lot of our pupils at Stockport Grammar School Junior School; we want them to grow up with confidence and an enthusiasm for learning, to enjoy success without losing humility, and to strive for high standards in everything they do without a fear of failure, and without being under undue pressure. We want them to respect themselves and each other. ...Read more

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.

What The Good Schools Guide says

Since 2014, Tim Wheeler (BA MA PGCE FRSA, Sheffield, Cambridge and Bath). ‘Respect without awe’ is his preferred style and it shows; during our visit, smiley children wander up to him to enthuse about various charitable projects they want to initiate and he, with perfect recall of their last conversation on the topic, is able to give them next steps and arrange a further chat. Previously headmaster of Hereford Cathedral Junior School, before that director of studies at Bilton Grange, he worked for several years as an educational consultant specialising in strategic school improvement. It seemed to us this latter consultancy experience is key, because two years into the post, he has introduced widespread changes: a new discipline regime, an expanded learning support department, a new maths course. It goes on.
