What says..

Delightful school, which offers ‘a healthy antidote to a results-driven culture'; the sort of place where three squeaky notes on a violin from a nervous first time performer would raise the roof...

What the school says...

Stonar Preparatory School develops confident, inquisitive and independent girls and boys, who enjoy their education and are well-prepared for the next stage of their school careers. We have small classes with an average of 12 pupils per class and experienced, specialist teachers who provide creative and imaginative learning that fuels childrens engagement, motivation and love of learning.

Children at Stonar Prep have access to fantastic sports facilities, beautiful gardens and parkland and even an equestrian centre. Girls and boys are taught by specialist sports coaches and compete in inter-schools fixtures from the age of 7. Rugby, hockey, netball, swimming, cricket, tennis and riding are core sports. There are a huge number of clubs and activities to choose from every day. We run trips and workshops and invite expert speakers to come in regularly.

Stonar Prep caters for busy parents and pupils - with a breakfast club, before and after school care, and numerous after-school clubs. Junior boarding is homely and fun; boys and girls can stay the night as and when required. We help each child discover their aptitudes and develop their confidence as they experience numerous opportunities within and beyond the classroom.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.

Equestrian centre or equestrian team - school has own equestrian centre or an equestrian team.
