SVPS is on a fine, safe rural site where the children enjoy a full and wide-ranging curriculum, which focuses on academic achievement, developing a community with high standards and respect for themselves and others, as well as giving opportunties to succeed outside of the classroom. We have a very successful record at entry to our senior school, Sutton Valence and other independent and local grammar schools. All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since September 2022, Mark Scholey, previously deputy head of Dulwich Prep. Educated at King’s College School, Wimbledon, followed by history degree from Durham, then PGCE and MEd from Cambridge. Initially worked in management consultancy for Accenture, then for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012. But teaching was always a calling: he loved school, volunteering to work in one in his gap year. Even at Accenture, it was the training roles he enjoyed most. Not the Hugh Bonneville of the television comedy Twenty Twelve, thankfully his management and organisation helped lead the successful and high profile Torch Relay for the 2012 Olympics - hard to imagine better preparation for leading a school.
