What The Good Schools Guide says
Head
Since September 2020, Simon Kibler BA (Leicester) (40s). Twinkly eyed, warm and with a zest for life. Clearly feels very at home in North Yorkshire after many years down south – loves the fact that people are ‘very straight in Yorkshire, as there’s no point hiding things’. Formerly deputy head at Dover College, he has been working in independent education for his whole career in both prep and senior schools and says ‘boarding is in my blood’. He and his wife Kate have previously been houseparents at Abbotsholme School in Derbyshire and Milton Abbey School in Dorset, where he was also assistant head. They have four children, with the two youngest girls at Terrington.
On duty at 7.15am, knows every pupil’s name and meets and greets them and their parents...
