The Abbey Junior School offers a broad curriculum enriched by many workshops and trips (residential from Year 3). The atmosphere is friendly, lively, purposeful and fun.
Girls aged 3-5 join the Early Years Centre which was classed as Outstanding in every category by Ofsted who praised the stimulating, inspiring and fascinating environment.' Junior School girls have specialist teaching in Science, Music, Sport, ICT and Languages and take part in many clubs. There is before and after school care and a holiday club.

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since September 2020, Nisha Kaura BSc DMS APMP PGCE MEd (late 40s), previously deputy head. Educated at Nonsuch High School for Girls; read microbiology and biotechnology at Surrey which led to an initial 10-year career in the pharmaceutical industry. Has been teaching at The Abbey since 2006 during which time she studied for her PGCE and a MEd in educational leadership. Describes herself as ‘both a product and a consumer of independent girls’ schooling,’ — in addition to being an employee thereof, of course. Was introduced to The Abbey via her two daughters who attended the school all the way through from nursery to sixth form (one currently reading medicine at Imperial, the other law at Bristol).
