What The Good Schools Guide says

Head of school

Since 2021, Stephanie Smith. Came to teaching after one of her children was diagnosed with autism aged 7. Studied at the Open University for a maths degree with the intention to teach and specialise in special needs. Spent a year working as a teaching assistant in a special school whilst training. ‘I was in a class with children who had needs and quickly realised that if the needs were met the children did so much better - very obvious really. It was good for me to experience being on the other side of the desk so to speak.’ Worked in a secondary school in Peterborough as a maths teacher for six years working her way up, concentrating on the SEND side of education too.

This is her first headship....

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
