Special Education Needs
We are an Inclusive school. We admit pupils with a wide range of needs including pupils with Autism who attend a specialist resource provision on site as well as mainstream lessons. The SEN team comprises teaching staff with different specialisms, teaching assistants (different levels), and mentors. We have a strong structure of support for young people and flexibility to respond to needs as they arise. Parents are fully involved; we have a dedicated Educational Welfare Team. We work with the community and are an Extended School. We also work with the Local Authority in accessing a range of supplementary agencies as well as local voluntary groups.
