What the school says...

A foundation for all-round excellence, designed with mindfulness at its heart...

The Dharma Primary School, in Brighton, is a non-selective independent school and welcomes children aged 3-11 years from all backgrounds, faiths and abilities. Our philosophy is rooted in Buddhist principles and for 20 years we have successfully integrated a holistic ethos with a sound academic education. Through the practice of mindfulness, the school aims to cultivate wisdom, reflection and compassion in children and to help them unlock their full potential.

We are a small community school and nursery, with skilled and committed staff, in which children excel in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. We provide a sound academic education informed by the National Curriculum, but with the flexibility and creativity to respond to the childrens needs, talents and interests. Children develop confidence, motivation and a love of learning enabling them to do well academically and to make a successful transition to local independent and state secondary schools.

The Dharma Primary School provides a good quality of education where pupils enjoy coming to school and become confident and self-awareoutstanding personal and social development. Ofsted

What the parents say...

We have 2 children at the Dharma Primary School and have been here for nearly 5 years. They are both very happy and we feel that they are benefiting hugely from the learning environment at the school. Each child is treated with enormous respect, listened to and their contributions are valued in a Buddhist- inspired thoughtful way. There is so much learning through 'topic work' and creativity, art, and drama both inside and outside (in the Forest School that year 1 and above take part in). The academic standards are high and I think are achieved due to exactly the above ethos where the children are inspired to be curious. We are sure that our children will leave at the end of year 6, better able to cope with whatever secondary school and beyond throws at them.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
