What the school says...

The King's School Witney has over 25 years experience of providing a caring, creative, well disciplined learning environment where children and young people thrive - each one valued and encouraged to develop his or her own potential.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Special Education Needs

One member of staff is a qualified dyslexia assessor and provides and co-ordinates help for students with special needs. For the majority of the children in the school, small teaching groups enable teachers to give pupils the individual attention they require. In some lessons further support with learning is provided for pupils by parents acting as teaching assistants. For children requiring additional support, provision is made for one to one tuition. Pupils with special educational needs are encouraged to use the computers/laptop to record their work and we are in a position to offer some support for pupils who have English as an additional language.
