Special Education Needs
At Dodmire Juniors all staff believe that every child is special. We have a team of five full time support assistants with a part time team leader, offering a high level of support to those who need it at any given time. Most of our support staff and teachers have worked with children who have Autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD, language difficulties, behavioural difficulties, children with specific physical and medical needs and those with general learning difficulties. We feel it is important to have close links with parents and the appropriate professional bodies and the wider community to aide the child's progress. All children are welcomed at Dodmire regardless of ethnicity, religion, ability, physical needs or background. The strengths of each child are promoted and celebrated whilst their weaknesses are well supported.

If there are more applicants to a school than it has places for, who gets in is determined by which applicants best fulfil the admissions criteria.
