Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.
Special Education Needs
At Hawtonville we believe in fostering a true partnership with parents and that helping children with Special Needs is a two way process. The class teacher makes observations and diagnostic testing may be undertaken. The class teacher consults with the school's Special Needs Co-ordinator for help or support. Parents are consulted throughout the process and are included in the planning of an Individual Education Programme for the child. this programme is reviewed termly. Some children may be timetabled to receive help from the Teaching Assistants in school and in some cases may also receive support from an outside agency. At Hawtonville Junior School we follow the Code of Practice and a policy has been devised and accepted through our family of schools.
