Since 2012, Jo Ebner BEd MA PG Dip Couns Cert FT NPQH (late 40s), previously head of the Royal School, Hampstead (now absorbed by North Bridge House and owned by Cognita); ‘I got the school to a place where it was worth buying,’ she says. Educated at North London Collegiate (where both her mother and her daughters were at school too) and Homerton, Cambridge, she also trained at the Tavistock Clinic as a school counsellor and completed her MA at the Institute of Education, London. Tall and statuesque, Miss Ebner has long brown, lustrous hair, is highly emotionally intelligent, with a self-deprecating sense of humour. She has three children – now in or approaching their 20s - and shares her comfortable office with her adoring golden retriever, Maddie.
