Since 1999, Simon Trevor-Roberts BA. Son of the founder, Trevor-Roberts studied at Westminster School before reading English at Aberystwyth. In 1983, he joined his father Christopher in the family firm, where he learnt his trade by example. (He has since been joined by his sister Amanda, who heads up the junior school.) Mild-mannered and reflective, he has a very clear sense of what the school is about: ‘We try to get children to enjoy the process of learning.’ Continues to teach maths to the 13+ candidates, because he’s found he, too, now has the knack of putting things across clearly. ‘I shadowed my father for a long time and learnt how to do it by osmosis.’ Parents find him immensely approachable and engaged. ‘You always have complete access to the head and he knows...
