All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since September 2020, Katie Hinks (40s), previously principal of The International School of The Turks and Caicos Islands which, in her six years there, doubled in size. A passionate educationalist she was born to be a head, following in the footsteps of both her parents. After graduating from University of Liverpool with a BA in primary education and English, she spent four years teaching at Ninfield School in East Sussex before her curiosity about the difficulties some children had with literacy pushed her to study a postgraduate certificate and diploma in SEN and dyslexia as well as a level 7 dyscalculia qualification. As a result, she is capable and determined to take an early ‘catch them before they fall’ approach to identifying and working with pupils who may have learning difficulties.
