There are regular trips to local art galleries and museums, and the older girls have been enjoying enrichment activities based on the theme ‘When I grow up I want to be…..’ This has led to trips to a local wedding dress designer and an artist, so far. Who knows what will come up next, a fireman, a pilot, an astronaut? Let’s hope so.  Another treat was hearing about the Egyptian Extravaganza, ‘Tomb Time.’ Girls showed us their mummified Barbies in shoe box tombs and explained how they had mummified tomatoes...

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Since September 2016, Annabel Ramsey, previously a class teacher here for two years. Brought up in Falmouth, she has a BEd from University College Chester, and began teaching at a junior school in Wootton Bassett, moving to Porthleven School and then Archbishop Benson CofE primary as deputy head. She joined Truro Prep after a year's sabbatical touring south east Asia and Australia. Loves to explore the world - whether it be close to home on the Cornish coastline and surrounding villages or far flung places in other continents. She is a great fan of the theatre, visiting at every opportunity, with a particular passion for Les Misérables.


Application process followed by a taster day and informal assessment. Once accepted, there is a ‘buddy system’ to help all the girls settle in and feel at home....
