Girls are bright and chatty, considerate and polite, bubbling over to tell us all about school life (not forgetting to push their chairs in neatly first). ‘So much fun’, they say, reflecting several parents’ delight at how their children ‘skip into school’. Since September 2022, Karen Coles BEd (from Exeter, specialising in PE and ICT). National level swimmer in her youth, she travelled the world learning the discipline of elite sport; when it came to choosing a career, her teachers at Jersey College for Girls (which she adored) suggested education.
