What the school says...

At Laleham Lea we firmly believe in putting the child at the centre of everything we do. From the warm welcome as you walk through the door in the morning to the playground where all ages play, run and socialise together as one happy family. Bright, light filled classrooms and enthusiastic, experienced teachers engage young minds’ thirst for knowledge, helping each developing individual to reach their full potential and ultimately move on to the school of their choice.

Our pupils become happy, confident, fulfilled young people through both academic and extra curricular activities. Every child takes part in team sports and every child is involved in school productions and concerts. Our greatest pleasure is to watch a once shy child blossom into the confident soloist, take a leading role in school assembly or simply help a fellow pupil through a challenging moment.

The findings of our recent ISI Inspection, which found Laleham Lea to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas, validate the tremendous hard work of our students, Staff and Governors. We work alongside all our families and our whole community to provide an excellent education for each child in our school where children love to learn with their friends. This further builds on our Denominational Inspection report of October 2019 where Laleham Lea was also deemed to be ‘Outstanding’.

A high standard of teaching and learning is central to our success. Your son or daughter will be taught in well equipped classrooms and our teachers hold specialist qualifications and have experience in specific areas of the curriculum such as Science, Modern Languages, Computer Studies (ICT), Art, Music and Sports.

As a Catholic school we put our Christian values at the forefront of our daily routine and welcome children of all faiths who are sympathetic to our Catholic ethos. We encourage a high standard of behaviour based on values of love, respect, and a positive work ethic. We regularly celebrate Mass together either in our own Long Room or in the calm serenity of the John Fisher School Chapel.

Through our close relationship with other schools in the area, we benefit from the use of the extensive sports field, stage and Chapel of the neighbouring John Fisher School and our children have a weekly swimming lesson at Thomas More Swimming Pool.
