Since 2021, Kit Thompson BA (Hons), PGCE. From an army background, Mr Thompson attended Downside School as a boarder, followed by a BA in anthropology and retail management at Oxford Brookes. Then he spent four years working in the City, before training as a primary school teacher at the University of Roehampton. His extensive prep-school experience includes time as director of studies at Tockington Manor School in Bristol, deputy head (academic) at Twyford School in Winchester (where his wife still teaches) and, most recently, head of nearby Unicorn School in Kew.
